About Camp Whitsett

Camp Whitsett located in Sequoia National Forest. At 4300 ft, an 80-acre, Camp Whitsett is in the rugged Kern Fiver country about 35 miles north of Lake Isabella. Camp Whitsett offers an outstanding venue for your troop long-term summer camp needs.  Camp Whitsett has 22 campsite located all around camp can give you both the privace of being in the forest but the closnes to others. The amount of campsites is also ideal for large group camping during the off sesson. Some of its great facilities include the dinning hall, COPE course, Lake, Campfire circle, Horse corrals, and much more can be used for some graet program throughout the year.

and encourage them to do their very best.

A Program where accomplishing mastery is stressed in each camper’s
personal growth and citizenship.
An atmosphere where each camper is recognized as a special person who can make a valuable contribution to family, community, and nation.

The staff and management of Camp Whitsett are dedicated to a course of long term improvement.

We will utilize an ongoing evalution of our camp program and facilities; we will work to provide the finest form of instruction and
hands-on involvement possible for each camper.

We will strive to staff our camp with mature, dedicated individuals who are committed to the ideas and ideals of Camp Whitsett and the Boy Scouts of America. We will work to provide the best of physical camp facilities thus enabling us to furnish a safe and complete Scouting program, and incorporating the finest of outdoor education programs and activities.
